Sunday Services

Adventure Kids

Adventure Kids is our Children’s Ministry at Heart Church.

On a Sunday, at Adventure Kids, kid’s worship and creative teaching for little ones runs alongside our morning services. We are passionate about creating a safe environment for children to have fun and encounter God!

Your child’s safety is important to us, so we have a strict safeguarding policy and a process that requires you to check your child in and out of our programme each week.

If you’d like to find out more about Adventure Kids, want to let us know you’re visiting, or you have a question, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

On a Sunday

First-time guests

Please look out for our Adventure Kids signs and our team in blue Adventure Kids t-shirts to point you in the right direction. Check-in for our Primary School age groups opens at 10.10am, and closes at 10.40am.

If you have children aged 1-4, please head to our Main Service first. Ear defenders are available on the way in for your children if they would benefit from these during worship.

During the service, the meeting leader will indicate that our 1-4s groups are starting, and you can head out with other parents to check your children in.

Checking in

In order to keep your child safe, we electronically check them in and out each week. On your first visit, we will need the following information:

  • Parent/legal guardian name

  • Children’s names and birth dates

  • Emergency contact number

  • Any special instructions in regards to your child (allergies, special educational needs, medical needs)

For children who want to attend regularly, this information is kept safely in the Heart Church database to help maintain our secure check-in system.

Got questions? Please don't hesitate to speak to any of our Adventure Kids Team on a Sunday morning, or get in touch below.

Age Groups

1-4s

Parents with children aged 1-4 head to the Main Service first, and the meeting leader will indicate when our 1-4s groups are starting. For those using our Parent Room, this is open for use anytime throughout the service as you need it.

The Parent Room (Birth - 18 months)
This room is available to all parents and carers with children from birth to 18 months old. The service is live streamed into this room, where there is space for your child to play and for you to connect with other parents. For Nursing Mums, there is a discreet area available to use. We have a great team available to offer support and an extra pair of hands when needed. Nappy changing facilities are located in this room.
Pre-School (1 - 2 years)

We love to work closely with you as a family to help transition children in this age group into the Adventure Kids programme. When your little one is 1 year old and ready to come into Adventure Kids, the team will support you with this transition. In this group, there will be lots of time for your toddler to have fun playing whilst starting to learn songs and how to pray.

Pre-School (3 - 4 years)
Our PreSchool team works alongside families, starting the journey of wonder and discovery of who God is by praying and learning Bible stories. We also have lots of time to play, do crafts and sing songs.
Primary Age
For these groups, check-in opens at 10.10am and closes at 10.40am and the programme runs alongside the whole morning service.
Reception - Year 6

We have creative Bible teaching, our own worship sessions, small groups, as well as games, play time and crafts. The different groups have age appropriate toys, games and crafts whilst joining together for worship and Bible teaching. Once your child is in Year 6, we help them transition into our Heart Church Youth programme, please see our Youth page for more information.

Additional Support

We are passionate for your child to get the best experience of Adventure Kids, and that every child can discover God for themselves. As far as we are able, we will work with you to create the best, personalised support plan for your child should you need additional support to facilitate this.

If your child requires any extra support for any reason such as medical, educational or behavioural needs, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
